En 1969, des artisans d'art de Disneyland ont créé ce lieu de rendez-vous romantique dans la cave de l'ancien California Hotel. La cave est le cadre idéal pour une soirée gastronomique intime et romantique. Les clients peuvent s'y retrouver pour déguster une cuisine française raffinée, confortablement assis dans des fauteuils aux dossiers de velours rembourrés dans un cuir riche et moelleux et dans un cadre intimement éclairé. Conviviale et confortable, l'élégante salle à manger est structurée autour d'arches et de murs au style semblable à celui d'une cave, le tout décoré avec des fûts de vin et des lanternes d'argent. L'excellence culinaire se combine avec des ingrédients frais et fins préparés pour obtenir une version légère de cuisine française.

The ambience and service were excellent. It was the ideal setting for a quiet dinner with friends. The food was not excellent, especially for that price. I was hopeful that the lobster bisque would not be as salty as the last time I had it, but unfortunately, it was both salty and barely warm. Great flavors and great presentation -- they pour it from a little pot into your bowl over pieces of lobster -- but disappointing. The much-hyped chocolate souffle was not nearly chocolatey enough. The Cellar shines in its cocktails. I've had several, and they are all fantastic. I especially like ordering "The Cuff," which is what the bartender feels like making. It's a delightful surprise.

My husband and I went for dinner for our 35th anniversary. Our overall visual impression was that it is a very nostalgic and unique experience - the negative is that there is definitely an odor and we noticed dirty mirrors. I understand that the odor may be beyond their control due to the age of the building. The bar was phenomenal. All the staff were top-notch; very polite and just formal enough to feel special but still very friendly and nice to converse with. The food was excellent however, the portions were rather small for the price. We tried escargot for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Next we had the octopus in a delectable tomato sauce. The meat was fresh and flavorful. However, there were only 3 to 4 bites of it for $25. My husband and I had octopus on Catalina for less money and we received several delicious tentacles. We felt the flavor of that octopus was more memorable than this was. I would not order it again at The Celler. Next, we had the lobster bisque, which was the best I’ve ever tasted. Although we both noticed that several of the dishes were on the saltier side, this being one of them. But it was so good that I didn’t mind. Next, we had our entrée, the filet mignon, cooked perfectly. My medium rare was a gorgeous pink and not blue at all. Finally for dessert, I had a vanilla soufflé with Grand Marnier englaise and hubby had the sticky toffee. Of course they were both delicious. We will definitely visit again for a special occasion. A-

What a perfectly romantic spot to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was excellent. My pork chop was tender and juicy. The only downside was that they completely messed up one of our orders and had to send it back to the kitchen to start from scratch.

Went there for our anniversary. We love old school steakhouses. This gem does not disappoint. Great service and good. One of the best steak tartare in Southern California.

Food ans service were good. Difficult to find restaurant once you see the sign no the street. Iced tea was only available by the bottle and no Grey Goose vodka was available. Surprising for an an upscale restaurant

The Cellar was an incredible experience all around. The staff was attentive and professional and kind, the ambience was amazing, and the food was beyond compare. They made our belated Valentine’s and anniversary dinner one to remember. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending others to come as well. Thank you!!

Wheelchair access was terrible. A staff member must open and accompany you down a service elevator where you will get to see parts of the kitchen and who knows what else. Not appetizing. Shannon was our server and she was excellent.

The service was great. The server was very attentive and only offered service when needed. However, the food was way too salty and nothing special. For a $300+ meal for two, we expected better-tasting food.
