L'établissement The Charlton Arms, qui donne sur le pont Ludford historique, à seulement quelques minutes à pied du centre-ville de Ludlow, représente la quintessence d'un charmant pub. La cuisine, dirigée par Stephan Smith, met l'accent sur une excellente cuisine britannique et dispose d'une foule de produits locaux. Vous dégusterez de fantastiques plats de pub classiques en plus de mets élaborés. La carte des boissons affiche fièrement des bières et cidres locaux ainsi qu'une sélection éclectique de vins pour tous les budgets. Pour profiter au mieux de votre visite au Charlton, 9 chambres confortables avec salle de bains privative sont à votre disposition. Le menu du petit-déjeuner satisfera tous les goûts, avec des œufs de la Clun Valley, du bacon fumé localement, les célèbres saucisses de Ludlow et le plus raffiné des saumons fumés. Le restaurant, géré indépendamment par Cédric et Amy Bosi, garantit un accueil chaleureux. Il accepte en outre les enfants en leur proposant un menu adapté et les amis des chiens pourront également se faire accompagner de leur compère à 4 pattes s'il est bien élevé. Les belles promenades autour de Ludlow et de la réserve Whitcliffe Common étant courantes, les bottes boueuses sont également de mise dans le pub.

Food was excellent but it was Valentines day and I think they had booked too many people, as we were put on a table in the reception area and not the restaurant. I was freezing when the main door kept opening and closing.

Lovely pub/restaurant in romantic location by the river. The food was well-cooked and presented and was good value - I had fish soup and lamb. I liked that the plate was full; not stingy portions. Meal included good quality veg. I would recommend arriving early for a drink beforehand in the cosy bar or in the lounge.

Lovely setting, dined on a Sunday evening and was disappointed with the limited menu options as no specials were available other than a pork or beef Sunday roast. What we had was fine, it was just that our expectations were higher.

Lovely lunch. Service excellent. Our 2 dogs enjoyed it too! Didn’t spot any otters - hopefully next time!

Very friendly place with lovely food and attentive staff. We have been here several times and have always been very happy with our visits.

Nice evening at the Charlton Arms after hearing good things. Our food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would note that there are very few options for vegetarians and nothing on the night for vegan diets (not that this affected us). It would be nice to have some more exciting mocktail options for those of us unable or choosing not to drink, but the softs were fine. The vibe was laidback and comfortable, even though it wasn't a popular season (January) and the town was generally quiet.

Amazing setting on the river with great service and amazing food. Very generous size food considering its top quality. Highly recommend

Been here before had a wonderful time. This time we felt a little let down by the Sunday roast beef was exquisite as were roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, however the vegetables were a little disappointing no cabbage just parsnips and carrots diced up and quite hard. Felt it could’ve been improved.
