                                      We should have realised that going for dinner on a Sunday it would all be about the roasts. There was not much of an alternative on the menu but fortunately the roast was very good. The service was fantastic. The room was a bit noisy when we first arrived but once that calmed down the ambience was great.

                                      Everything about Sunday lunch at The Chequers is super. From the welcoming staff, the greeting our dog received, to the tasty roast lunch and spicy Bloody Mary. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

                                      Rated as the best Sunday Lunch in Bath we thought we must try! Well we were not disappointed The Food was excellent,Service was genuine,polite professional and exceptionally friendly Would highly recommend to friends and family to visit.

                                      I’m not really clear as to how they get their Michelin mentions. Whilst the food was good, and the service attentive, would not rate it as Michelin. A lot of things ruined the evening. We were told that we could only get at 6pm booking because they had a large party. At 7:30 only two other tables were filled. Menus were oil stained and grubby. At a table next to us someone sat drinking a pint, munching on crisps and working on his computer. Is this a coffee shop, pub or Michelin labelled restaurant? Advertising Michelin does a disservice to those that really try to achieve that recognition.

                                      First time since it reopened and it was outstanding - food and presentation 10/10 staff friendly no pressure great selection of drinks. Food was amazing definitely in my top 3 restaurants in bath now.

                                      We were a party of six and three had the belly pork which was delicious. One person had the butternut roast and loved that too. The other person had Dover sole and said that he was disappointed as he was still hungry but the quality was good. We all had desserts which were really lovely and overall we had a great time. The service was excellent.

                                      We had a great time and really enjoyed the meal. However next time I think we will ask to be seated downstairs.
