Ordered filet medium rare and was overcooked. Entrees and sides were fine. Everyone else in our group enjoyed their entrees. Staff was very helpful with one of our parties food allergies. We were seated in a room that was very loud. Overall a fine experience.

Disappointing evening. Food was just ok. Upon receiving our check, we discovered a charge for the bread that was offered. There was no mention that this was not complimentary as is the norm in most restaurants, nor did we see it on the menu. I was offered a refill on my iced tea, which is customary since they are half ice and my current iced tea, still half full was removed and a fresh tea provided. We were charged for two iced teas. These two incidents padded our bill. There is a significant difference between feeling you were provided exquisite service versus being ripped off.

We have been here many times before although not for about the last 6 months. One of our guests said it best: “they are a little lax tonight.” The restaurant was not busy; I always chuckle when big empty restaurants seat all the parties right next to each other when there is plenty of space to spread them out. Our server also told us right away that they “have a limited menu tonight “, which was curious. Service was polite but SLOW. Food temperatures were uneven — some hot and some tepid at best. When we finished eating and wanted dessert, we waited and waited for our server to come back… and then when the coffee we ordered was delivered, we received barely half-full cups of lukewarm coffee, and little cream containers each with about a half-ounce of cream. At that point, rather than wait longer, we gave up, got the check, and called it a night. One would think that aa restaurant could be at its best when isn’t busy, but this one didn’t show up for that opportunity. Disappointing. Lots of fish in the NJ restaurant sea. We will probably be back but we might wait a year this time.

Appetizer super small! We got grilled shrimp but only 4, for the amount of money for it I could have bought a whole bag of large shrimp. Food was good portioned and delicious!

Clinton house is an excellent restaurant for the ambiance, outstanding service(Luigi)and delicious food. It has become our”go to” restaurant. We celebrated our 50 th wedding Anniversary there and it was second to NONE!!

Love coming to The Clinton House, especially in the fall. Nick C. was our waiter and he was fantastic. Food was excellent, even better than we remembered. Will definitely be coming back.

We were wanting some thing a little bit casual . French onion soup was delicious. My burger was the best . Done exactly the way I like it. The French dip was delicious also. Our waitress was sweet and responsive. All around great experience. This restaurant has had a complete turnaround for the better.

Always a pleasure coming here. Food and Service is Fantastic! Notable Adult Beverage List - Wines List by the Glass is Awesome. There's also "Events" that are incredible as well.
