"Eat heartily & give the House a good name" is the sound ethos of this thoroughly British pub, specialising in oysters, guinness and seasonal food. Seafood figures strongly. A seafood platter for two includes Fines de Claire & Irish rock oysters, whole dorset crab, prawns, clams, whelks and winkles. Other favourites are the Cow fish stew, homemade crab tagliolini. Alternatively, try daily specials such as lamb's kidney's, black pudding and mustard sauce, or slow roasted belly of old spot pork with wild mushrooms. Drinks include real ales on tap and a carefully crafted wine list.

The Cow serves amazing food. The fish stew was the best I’ve ever had. My girlfriend had the chicken Kiev which was excellent. For starters, I had the mackerel pate and my girlfriend had the grilled goats cheese which I would highly recommend. I love the dining room upstairs, it’s really cosy. If you like your Guinness then you’re not going to get much better then here in West London. Excellent value for the quality of food received and Yosev the restaurant manager was exceptionally pleasant and attentive. I give five stars for everything barring the ambiance, which I only knocked to four stars because it was busy downstairs in the main bar area. Outside the premises on this occasion was very busy which was a bit uncomfortable entering and exiting the bar and restaurant.

Loved it. Old school charm with modern food. Very high quality fish and sea food in a relaxed, calm environment. Will definitely visit again.

We had Sunday lunch upstairs. It was really quiet only our table and another group booking of 6 or so. Therefore lacking at atmosphere and ambience. It’s a nice dining room and I can see how it could be vibey. We had the pint of prawns which were a little disappointing. The roast made up for it, though. The beef perfectly cooked and great roasties and carrots.
