   While the ambiance is lovely, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. The egg salad croissant was stale and dry, as if it had been prepared days in advance along with stale bread for the other sandwiches. Unfortunately, when we brought our concerns to the staff, the only resolution offered was another scone, which did not address the issue. I wouldn’t recommend wasting money here unless you’re just enjoying a cup of tea.

   Good day. My husband and I had High Tea today at the Prince Of Wales. We are locals and visit the tea room twice a year. At Christmas and Spring.Service was great and special mention to Mary as she was so accomodating to my husbands specific food needs. Kudos to the staff always making us feel so welcome.    We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary with high tea at the Prince of Wales, not our first time either. The rooms were busy when we arrived so we didn't get a Solarium table, but we were very happy in the large, wingback, comfortable chairs where we ended up. The decor is lovely, and the atmosphere very relaxing. The mood music was quite soothing. Staff were busy at first but very cheerful and friendly at all times, and we had a very pleasant, brief conversation with our staffer when she was less busy later on. The food was very good, varied tastes and flavours, and fresh, and the tea of course is the best you can get. Our staffer refilled the teapot, "of course, with pleasure" she said, and we appreciated the care we were given very much.

   We each chose the Traditional Afternoon Tea Service and it was way more food than we expected. Everything on the beautiful tiered display tray was delicious and our server, Jodi, was delightful. The tea was wonderful. We purchased a container of our favorite of the day to take home. Highly recommend to anyone.

   I absolutely love the high tea here. It's the perfect gift for that person that you never know what to buy for them. Although it's high tea, I always get the coffee which is phenomenal every time. I always leave with leftovers. It's such a beautiful and peaceful setting. I couldn't speak more highly of the high tea in the Drawing Room.

   When we arrived - the host was not clear - she walked into the kitchen. Then she asked about the dietary consideration which was indicated on the reservation. This was not taken in consideration. This had been taken in account in the last. The staff felt pressured to clean tables around us despite guests still enjoying the food and tea. We came for tea at 4 pm - a bit later than usual - the scone was not that hot.

   Scones and tea were sublime. Our tea barista was lovely. Not super thrilled with overly North Americanized sugary desserts, but was delighted enough with the sandwiches and amazing whipped hummus tarts. And the scones and tea... truly heavenly The ambiance transports one.
