Bienvenue au Freemasons de Wiswell ! Des plats exceptionnels vous attendent dans une atmosphère détendue et un décor champêtre des plus élégants. L’établissement se trouve dans le très beau village de Wiswell, près de Clitheroe, au milieu de la saisissante Ribble Valley. Il a subi d’importantes rénovations avant sa réouverture à l’été 2009. Le pari est gagné, les clients sont fidèles, ils reviennent régulièrement dans cet endroit qu’ils ont vite rebaptisé comme leur deuxième maison. Avec son sol en dalles, ses murs qui ont conservé la douceur des couleurs d’origine, ses tapis et meubles anciens, ses peintures et gravures d’époque, le restaurant vous surprendra par son style et son aménagement. Vous vous sentirez vraiment à l’aise. Le bar dispose d’une excellente sélection de bières tirées directement du baril, qui lui ont valu le prix de la meilleure brasserie indépendante. Ajoutez à cela une cave à vins bien remplie par plus de 250 grands crus en provenance du monde entier. Entouré de paysages magnifiques, ce restaurant attire avant tout pour la qualité de sa carte. Vous serez chaleureusement accueilli par le patron et chef de l’établissement Steven Smith, ainsi que par toute son équipe. Ici, vous ferez l’expérience d’un repas gastronomique unique, en harmonie avec un décor détonant et une ambiance conviviale !

We had the taster menu which was incredible overall with a few things we felt were not well balanced but dishes were complex, with outstanding creation and skill and amazing flavours. I'd suggest waiting on staff are trained to clear tables as this lets the experience down when front of house experience doesn't match the experience on the plate and skill of the chefs.

Both food and service were excellent. Definalty recommend a visit and definataly will be visiting again.

Excellent meal. We love our trips to the Freemasons. Outstanding food in very relaxed and welcoming surroundings. We will definitely be back.

Phenomenal! My husband and I had an absolutely super meal at the Freemasons. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the restaurant had a very homely, stylish, country interior. The front of house and bar staff were very courteous, helpful and keen to ensure a good experience for the diner and provided any help and information we needed. The menu was exciting and imaginative, the wine list offered a thoughtfully selected range of delicious wines that complemented our individual course choices really well. When the food started to arrive we knew we were in for a treat and it did not disappoint! We had snacks which were utterly amazing and plentiful, beautifully presented and so, so delicious. The rest of the meal continued in the same vein and we ended it with mouthwatering desserts. In summary, the team at the Freemasons has its act together at a very high standard, provided us with a very enjoyable experience and the food was superb! We had a great evening and would definitely recommend. Well done Freemasons!

Superb lunch at The Freemasons. Every single course of our 3 course lunch was delicious. The meat was ‘melt in the mouth’ and the portions are extremely generous. I can’t fault a thing and I certainly couldn’t pick a favourite course. Andrew is a tonic and what is missing in most establishments these days. What surprised us more was the incredible value for money for lunch. Needless to say we have booked again. How have we missed this jewel in the Ribble Value?! In addition, we were gifted a voucher and hadn’t realised that it had a 6 month expiration, however I made contact with the restaurant and they honoured it. Outstanding customer service. We can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic three course Sunday roast with extra treats, artisan breads , a birthday card for my son and gorgeous Birthday chocolates which were totally unexpected. Andrew and all the waiting staff were warm, friendly and down to earth. We went home thoroughly satisfied . Food how food should be!
