With our cozy ambiance, and the introduction of contemporary cuisine, the perfect setting is arranged for a first date, business engagement or simply a gathering of friend.

We have coined the term “Contemporary Interactive Cuisine” as our concept at The Living Room. We define this as an expanded twist on classic French and Italian cuisine with a distinctive Canadian touch.

We feature a selection of appetizers that also follow our philosophy of interactive cuisine. Our staff are always eager to introduce food and wine parings, as exemplified with our five course menu suprisé prepared for you by Chef Kevin Hill.

By offering a diverse range of entrees and a daily fresh sheet featuring exceptional and unique meats and seafood, we strive to maintain our status as one of Calgary’s premier restaurants.

The service was really disappointing as we had to flag down our server multiple times throughout our evening. Our server did not come by to check on our table to see how our meal was, nor did she ask why the salmon was only partially eaten when she cleared the dinner plates. In case "you" may want to know, the fish tasted a little 'off'. Overall, it is not what I have come to expect from the Living Room staff or food. It may have been an off night for them, but I will not be going back any time soon.

We had a great evening at The Living Room. Our food was fabulous! The two of us shared the burrata, the autumn salad, the vitello tonato, the duck confit, and the creme brule. I didn't love the vitello as much as the other dishes, which were stellar. Cooked to perfection and flavorful. We also had fabulous service. I'd recommend it and definitely go back.

Disappointing from what we thought would be a delicious menu. Veggies served with our salmon were undercooked, however the salmon itself was tasty. Beet salad was quite acidic and pickled, could have used some greens to balance it out with their bitterness. Table side tartare isn’t prepared table side, simply stirred in front of you. The service was a bit lacking but this could be because it appeared they were a bit short staffed? Food also came out quite slowly, but in the end we found out they had coursed out each of our appetizers (not sure why they did this). Ordered a dirty martini and was then asked if we’d like olives or a lemon twist.. then said olives.. and the martini was not dirty at all. Great room. Cozy. Service and food just need refinement.

An absolute amazing experience dining here. The menu selection would satisfy any palette and budget. They have a great wine and cocktail selection as well as servers who went above and beyond. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone!

Ordered fondue for two. Food was excellent. Service was prompt. Noise level was excellent. Sat in Atrium which was cozy with two fireplaces.

My sister-in-law and I had a great time last night. I loved where we sat. It was my first time sitting outside at a cooler night with the cover on. It was very cosy. I did put in the reservation that it was my sister-in-law’s birthday and we were greeted almost right away with two glasses of champagne and a “happy birthday” which was really nice. Our server was awesome! He was friendly, attentive, and courteous. Our food was so good. I always love the beef tartare, it’s my favourite. Unfortunately the wild mushroom linguine didn’t hit the mark. It was a bit bland and the pasta seemed sticky and a tad soft. Overall it was a lovely experience and I will be back! Thanks so much!

This was honestly one of the most INSULTING restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I’m not the type to leave a review but I was incredibly excited to bring my partner here for our anniversary, as I’ve always had a stellar experience at the living room but after the dining experience I had today, I had to express my distaste. Firstly we arrive at the restaurant for our 7 o clock reservation, for context, I requested a decent table a week prior when I booked our reservation, they tuck us in the back corner, in the tiniest table, facing another couple (very awkward) we then requested to switch tables as we were ordering the fondue and knew we’d need more space on the table, they refused our request and in sum told us to “suck it up we’ll make it work” secondly, the fondue comes, and the portion sizes were far from acceptable for the price. I paid $14 for an addition of tenderloin, they gave us 5 PIECES, for 14 dollars. What an insult. The waitress also refused to acknowledge me but happily acknowledged my partner, when I thanked her for serving our food she wouldn’t even look at me but happily acknowledged my boyfriend. Not great service, insulting portion sizes, save your money and go elsewhere. I’m SO disappointed to have had this experience as the living room has been one of my favourite date night locations for years.
