Welcome to The Market Place, Asheville's culinary gem nestled in the heart of downtown! Led by Chef William Dissen, our restaurant celebrates the vibrant flavors of the region with a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients from within a 100-mile radius of Asheville. We're proud to have been named a semi-finalist for the prestigious James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant. Join us for dinner beginning at 5 pm where you can enjoy our delicious dishes alongside a local beer or a handmade cocktail.

Due to the unpredictable weather in the mountains, patio tables cannot be reserved.

Fixed price, 3 course menu for NYE. The food was first class and our service was great. Nice touch from Chef/Owner to chat for a good couple of minutes and kindly thank us for coming to town and help support the town. Will definitely return to enjoy the a la carte menu.

Food was well prepared and great. When we arrived they didn’t have our reservation made on open table. It could have been because it was made 30 mins prior to our arrival. They were happy to seat us still

One of the best meals I’ve had here in Asheville. Great restaurant for date night. Get the French onion soup as an appetizer. Service was fantastic

The Market Place was spectacular. Incredible food and service, this place always delivers. The seasonal cocktail and mocktail list is so creative and everything was so yummy.

The food was excellent, everything was farm to table and everyone around us was raving about their dishes. The menu is small but everything we had was excellent, including the cauliflower appetizer, the burger with truffle fries, the tagliatelle, and the affogato. A casual environment, and at first it didn’t look to be very crowded because most tables were seated in the back, but truly excellent. Would definitely return next time we’re in Asheville.

Very nice restaurant. Menu was limited and for a Saturday night during the holidays, it was sadly nearly empty, but given what this area has experienced the last few months, it’s understandable. My steak burger and truffle fries were fabulous and our waiter was very attentive. I hope this restaurant can pull though this tough year and see a bright future ahead. #Ashevillestong!!!
