   Be careful, tip is automatically built in at 20%. Further, something like champagne if automatically given should be told that it’s going to be a charge and not automatically charged to your bill. That’s not right.

   Christian was one of the best servers we have had at the melting pot in years. The service was exceptional and he was very attentive

   When we arrived for our reservation the hostess didn’t acknowledge us and continued on a phone call. After about 5 mins she finished the call and told us she would see if our server could take us. On our way to our table we passed by another table that had a small child seated in a high chair. If you have ever dined with a small child, more of their food goes on the floor than in their mouth. No biggie but I would have assumed that the server or busser could have swept the floor quickly. Once seated it was at least 10 mins before our server greeted us. She introduced herself and asked us if we were ready to order. My husband ordered a second beer and it took at least 20 minutes for her to return without it. When he asked she said, “the bartender wouldn’t give her one.” This is the same bartender who when my son asked if he knew where the bathroom was replied no. Our server was clearly new and lacked training. She was very nice but not sure why they would put an unprepared server on the floor. The food was great! However after our two hour meal, upon departure, we noticed that the table with the child was now empty but the floor was still a hot mess. Not to mention the table across from us was nursing her 3 year old child at the dinner table for the duration of our meal… great food but everything else was sub par!

   We always enjoy The Melting Pot, hate that they took the steak off of choose 3 menu and replaced it with the Garlic Pepper - I think that is too much pepper.

   Service was good. Manager visited table twice but it felt more because trying to get us to be done quicker. Bread for dipping was very stale. We were still working in cheese when salads came out. Our reservation was for 8:45 and we got there a little early but I guess it was too close to closing time for them. I work in Ellicott City and didn’t get off til 8pm so hot there as quick as possible. My daughter wanted melting pot with me before returning to grad school so this night and time was our only option. We requested a double burner for 2 cheese and pot and grill so we could be as quick as possible but I’m guessing it wasn’t enough

   Worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Waited 20 min past reservation. Waited another 20 min for a waitress to come to our table. I ordered a coconut martini and said no Malibu, just grey goose. He used Malibu. I ordered a passion fruit martini and it was all syrup. The manager came over and asked how things were. We told him the martinis were pretty bad. He said he’d make me another passion fruit with less syrup. Yes they use syrups instead of purées. 🤢 Well he brought me a lemon martini. Strange. It was also horrible. The hosts at the front were making fun of all the customers that came in. They were young and dressed like they were going to bed. Never going back. Applebee quality food/drinks at $$$ prices.

   Had NYE reservation. Was seated promptly, had a great server, and the prix fixe menu was delicious. Overall outstanding experience that exceeded my expectations. Would gladly go back.

   Decide to do the New Years Eve set menu since we were in the are with children. The waitress was sloppy and rushed. For the price it definitely wasn’t worth it. The “party favors” were non existent. Complimentary champagne was offered and we were told we could have the apple cider instead but were charged for it. Overall disappointing and will not be back again.

    Our server Darrel was lovely. The experience would have been so much better if it wasn’t hot and humid inside. We left smelling like grease and meat! :(
