    Beautifully presented delicious food with attentive service Have been twice ( lunch & late dinner) and on both occasions surprisingly empty given food quality. They're moving to new larger ( but as yet undisclosed) location still in Notting Hill in September - perhaps somewhere less off beaten track will get more people in and add to ambience

    It was a quiet lunchtime at The New Angel but the food and service were truly excellent. We had the set lunch of three courses and it was all of the highest quality.Certainly comparable with a one star Michelin restaurant.Wine list was very good and offered a full range of prices from very modest to very expensive. Service was excellent but perhaps that was to be expected since it was quiet.However even allowing for this our feeling was that service was clearly considered to be important. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very happy to check with the chef for a small variation to one of the dishes. We are planning to go back very soon and will take friends. We have just been informed that the restaurant is moving to new premises nearby and will be closed from the end of May until September.

    Easily one of the best restaurants in the whole of London. 2nd time eating here and it's absolutely unreal - we were on a £35 menu with a free glass of bubbles and we were treated like kings. The first time we ate was the normal menu and it was the same food, same service and most importantly NO rush on the table. Will be back time and time again, really love this place!

    The food was very good. Service outstanding. Just slightly disappointed by the size of the plates, but that's kind of standard in all these "high quality" restaurants.

    This was our 2nd visit and this time we took our visiting special Australian friends. The food, service and ambience was excellent once again and many pictures of the food were taking to send back to Australia. The Foie Gras starter was devine along with the Lamb main course. We just had to have the wonderful Creme Brulee again for dessert! We had a wonderful evening with special friends and look forward to our next visit.

    Faultless from start to finish ! Good & interesting menu with a comprehensive Wine list. Nice intimate restaurant with helpful and friendly staff.. Will defiantly return soon.

    It was our 3 year anniversary. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Food is delicious, you can tell the efforts that have gone into making it. Good selection of wine list. We're happy to have found this new gem. Michelin star in the making!
