Join us for the finest in Traditional American and Italian Cuisine in a picturesque atmosphere, located in this historic stone mill overlooking the banks of the Bronx River. Our comfortable country ambience brings back the charm of yesterday, while serving the finest quality food and spirits. Our luxurious main dining room, furnished with antiques and original stone hearth, is the perfect setting for both special occasions, as well as the casual get together. Our tavern is the ideal meeting place for anyone desiring a libation in a cozy atmosphere. Strewn with hanging antique lanterns, the uniquely constructed bar was hand-crafted with dark varnished woods and finished copper. All around is the pastoral allure of two hundred year old timber posts and beams. Adding to the ambience is our stone patio, which offers elegant outdoor dining.

Rude as hell, owner and manager embarrassed me in front of friends. Rude as hell, owner and manager embarrassed me in front of friends. The food was decent, i won't complain there. But they refused to take a valid gift certificate. The manager came over and said that the owner said no, and when I approached the owner he was sitting at a table and would not even stand up to talk and was very condescending. He said he didn't have to accept the gift certificate because the company he donated it to was out of business and that was it. Even though we did purchase it and it was valid he said no. He was rude, as was the manager and the other senior staff. His companion at the table just sat there with very mean look as well - no wonder why on a Saturday night at 7PM the restaurant was mostly empty. I see that they are the third owners in as many years - maybe there will be a forth pretty soon, or a new restaurant there soon. I will never go back there again, and suggest if you don't want to be talked down to and treated like crap, you find somewhere else to go. There are much better steakhouses, with courteous ownership, around.

We were there for a 7pm reservation and didn't receive our main course until 9:20pm. Food was ok, not worth the wait. No explanation, no apologies, not even an attempt to take something off our bill to make up for the terrible service. It seemed that they were short waiters with only 2 waiters taking care of the entire room on a Friday night which is unacceptable...the owner was eating at a table when we walked in and as we left he was at the bar and never even asked us as we were exiting if everything was alright and how was your meal. Go around the corner to Angelina's for better food and better service.

Bartender did not know inventory and tried to upsell more costly potables. Dining room was cold in temperature. Restaurant week menu was not offered by waitstaff. Service was quite bad also. Had eaten there previously, but will not do so in the future.

Abysmal. We waited close to two hours for our food and we received the most shamefully pathetic excuses as to why our food was continuously delayed when we started to ask the staff of our food status well after the one hour mark. As we came upon the two hour mark we left the restaurant unfed. Avoid this place at all costs!! I've never had a worse restaurant experience in my life and I mean never!!!

We went for my husband's bday. It was very quiet inside, a handful more in the patio- we chalked that up to it being a holiday weekend. The service was amazing. They accommodated our requests and actually brought 2 desserts bc the first came out without a candle. As we were walking out, we saw the waiter in the parking lot who'd ran after someone who left something behind. Above and beyond!

We arrived on time and were seated immediately. 4 tables were occupied outside, 3 tables within. No large parties. These numbers did not change thought the evening. Order was taken and we waited an hour for salads and appetizers. Dinner never showed. Staff, including the owner,apologized numerous times saying the kitchen was overwhelmed by the large crowd. 2 hours after being seated we cancelled our entrees and asked for a check. Owner sent over ice cream and cake which meant nothing. We hadn't eaten.

Real nice ambiance with a piano player on a Saturday night. Food was great and the service was excellent. The chef even came out to make sure everything was to our liking.
