We made reservations online for 2:00pm. It was one of the choices. When we got to the restaurant we were turned away and was told that the kitchen closes at 2:00pm and they no longer take customers.

Salmon was over cooked, ordered medium rare and it came out very well done. Coffee wasn’t hot. And the wait staff not attentive. The view of Central Park is lovely. The hotel needs to pay more attention to the restaurant.

Open Table accepted my Park Room lunch reservation for 3people at 2pm Nov. 27th in the Park Lane Hotel on 59th St . My husband and I arrived at the restaurant on time with, our out of town guest who had just arrived and hour earlier. We were hungry and looking forward to a delightful lunch with our guest and enjoying the beautiful view of CP. We were greeted and told the restaurant closes at 2pm. I explained that Open Table had accepted our reservation for 2pm. He left and returned with the same answer. We were told to go to the bar and that the bar had the same menu. We proceeded to the bar. (Hum, same menu? only thing missing was a nice table....) Not at all what we had been looking forward to: we were seated looking at the bar waiter station and a TV screen. The meal was very good but our guest's French fries were cold - they were replace with hot ones. We paid the bill and left a very nice 25% tip. The next day after looking at the bill we found the bill was tip compri. We live in Manhattan we always leave a tip. I guess I should have know not to go to a tourist destination. I feel it is uncouth to make a fuss: Therefore, I did not whine, cajole, or make a scene when I was told there was no service. After all we were there to enjoy our guest. My expectations from a 4 Star hotel restaurant: I expect that under the circumstances, our reservation would have been honored. Regardless of the Open Table mix up or whatever the existing circumstance may be. I would also expect that Open Table would have the correct time available when a customer is making a reservation. I would expect that we would have been told at the time of the check being presented that it was tip compri. Sad to be so disappointed.

Spectacular views of Central Park from nearly any table chosen. We had brunch here twice. The food is very good & there is something for everyone. Although one may feel it's pricey, it's all about the view here!! Will definitely return.

Unfortunately it wasn’t up to par and is severely outdated in decor. This could be so much more and comes way short. Such a shame to have a glorious space like this and not even come close to its potential.
