   If you love a salad bar and a good steak or prime rib, this is the place for you. The salad bar is very good, and they always have two soups to choose from. Oh, and there are two cheese cubes besides the shredded cheese at the salad bar. Did I forget the bread choices, too? Service is great and they know how to time the entree AFTER you've enjoyed the salad/soup bar.

   The Pewter Mug is always great! No wait for our table. Our waiter Jeremy 299 was amazing! Cheerful, helpful and attentive. His suggestions were spot on. And, as always, the food was phenomenal! Prime rib and salmon to die for. The Mug never disappoints.

   We have dined here many times and have enjoyed the experience thoroughly. However this evening we caught them on an off night. The salad bar was outstanding as usual, but the prime rib I had did not meet my expectations. The flavor was good but the cut was subpar. It was not a normal full cut that I was accustomed to enjoying. Thicker than normal, but lacking the entire outside section, I think the term is the spinalis, the most tender piece. And it was not hot when served—disappointing! I thought about asking for the manager, but they were so busy that I didn’t. We will return because one subpar experience is not enough to justify not returning!

   Had been wanting to try the Pewter Mug for a while. Our kids gave us a gift certificate so we were looking g forward to a wonderful dinner. Seated in an auxiliary dining room with zero ambiance, very bright lighting against stark white walls. The salad bar was good - well stocked and fresh. Soup was lukewarm. My husband ordered a NY strip, medium. His steak was cooked to order. I ordered the ribeye, Pittsburgh. My steak was barely charred and more well done than my husbaand’s medium. One of our friends ordered 1/2 duck and she was served two thigh/leg portions. After hunting down our waiter, we both requested our entrees be redone. Her second duck was a proper half with breast and lot high portions. My steak was heavily charred, cold on the inside and tasted/smelled of whatever is used to ufuel the grill. I ate some and brought the rest home. We gave the server our gift card and credit card for the balance. The process was confusing - he gave us duplicate checks plus the customer copies for the same amount and told us we needed to sign both.

    Always a pleasant and excellent service from the wait staff and excellent food. The only issue is the noise level. It's always noisy.
