The Pink Adobe restaurant stands proudly in the heart of Santa Fe's historic Barrio De Analco neighborhood, which is considered the oldest neighborhood in the US. Founded in 1944 by Rosalea Murphy, an artist and social connector, the restaurant takes its name from the rose-colored adobe plastering on the nearly 400-year-old hacienda that serves as its home. This iconic Santa Fe destination at the heart of the Old Santa Fe Trail has been known for its fun, vibrant atmosphere and outstanding cuisine. Some of the famous well-known dishes are still existing such as the Steak Dunnigan, French Onion Soup and Rosalea's French Apple Pie among with new and innovative creations from our Executive Chef Andrew Fox.

The Steak Dunnigan's recipe has been changed, not necessarily for the worse, but changed. The steak was, oddly, too thick, thus making it hard to cook rare without becoming squishy in the center. The zucchini appetizer and the churro dessert were excellent. The atmosphere is, quite definitely, duller and less colorful than it once was. Nice, plain, quiet, but dull.

We made a pilgrimage to the Pink Adobe while in Sante Fe. My wife had been here 55 years ago as a girl with her parents and couldn’t wait to go again. The decor and ambiance were very nice, but our meal took over 40 minutes to be delivered, and then my entree was cold. The manager apologized saying they had a big group that night, but it’s an 80 year old restaurant and I expected better.

The Pink Adobe is such a beautiful and great spot in Santa Fe. If you are a tourist, it is a great restaurant to check out. As locals, we enjoyed seeing one of our favorite servers in Santa Fe. We ordered 2 beef tenderloins, 1 enchilada, a shishito pepper appetizer (the bbq sauce was a great pairing), 2 Margaritas. The service and attention to refilling of the our waters and drinks was excellent, we love the small rooms and the energy they bring. The hostess was attentive and welcoming and made sure to say goodbye to all, because the waiting area is so small I was willing to wait for my party to arrive but she sat me by myself- which I totally understand. It's such a sweet environment. We understand that many restaurants say no to diners under a certain age, but would also ask restaurants to consider a No Flash photography in the dining room. We love it when people get together and have great fun (other table in our small dining room), but catching up with those you love and being unable to hear their stories does diminish the experience. No fault of the restaurant but camera flashes on your table throughout the evening does make it a little less special. I know, it is the era of social media everywhere, but sometimes: you just want to enjoy a catch up with your family without flash photography and being able to actually hear them.

I ate light and enjoyed the French Onion soup very much. It had terrific flavor and really was made right. Wish the wine list had more options, but it was adequate.

Some of the menu items have changed…word to the wise is if isn’t broken don’t fix it! But overall the experience was great just stick to what has worked for years now!

Our first experience with this restaurant! Everyone was extremely friendly, the food was great, and the ambiance was quiet and pleasant. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a quiet, pleasant meal, in the heart of Santa Fe.

The hi light of our trip to Santa Fe. From beginning to end, we had the most wonderful time. The food was incredible. Evin, our waiter, was the best. We can’t wait to come back.
