All the team at The Rose and Crown - Elham warmly welcome you to one of the most picturesque villages in Kent.

The Rose & Crown Elham is a Grade II Listed building, it was originally timber framed and built in the 16th century. Most of it has been re fronted, and extended at the south end, where a date stone gives the date 1740. We are also AA 4 Star accredited.

This inn was used for many years for the Elham Petty Sessions, and the courtroom can still be made out on the first floor. Mortises and grooves in the beams show where a small room was set aside for the use of the magistrate, who visited here once a fortnight.

Always delicious and very good service . Recomend the roast beef. This is our favourite restaurant to visit and drive 45 minutes to do so. Highly recommended

We had a great time at The Rose and Crown with our friends. The bedrooms were large, warm + tea making facilities. The staff were very welcoming especially Julie and the manager Xandre. The Rose and Crown was in a very peaceful village but once we parked our car on arrival we used public transport for our day trip into Canterbury. Food was excellent and the portions were far too generous. Recommended!

It has a nice atmosphere and the menu was varied with lots of choices. The portion sizes where large. Food was delicious.

We had roast lamb and roast beef. Both were excellent and meat was very tender. The portions were actually too big for us and felt bad not able to eat it all but it did come with 9 different vegetables! I would return for the food but the place could do with a little spruce up especially the holey carpet.

We enjoyed this meal on a weekend away and it was arranged by our daughter who communicated with the staff by telephone to "treat" us. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The servings were generous, beautifully presented, appeared freshly prepared and were very tasty.

The ambience is gentle, warmed by several wood-burning fires. The waitress was very considerate and the food was good pubgrub.. Definitely worth revisiting and probably very good in the summer. Definitely a warm comforting restaurant in winter Clearly the pub is loved by the local clientele
