We went for Sunday lunch and it was a real treat. Excellent food and attentive staff. Price was on the higher side but still very good value for money.

Really beautiful pub in a stunning village. The room we stayed in was lovely and super clean and comfortable. The food was good but not outstanding. We did have a waiter who commented on our food choices which was slightly strange and rude but other than that a really lovely experience.

This is a lovely pub in a beautiful village. Great atmosphere and good beer. Friendly service. Not much to dislike and I’ve been here a number of times before. The reason I’m not rating very high this time is the food. On previous visits the food has been excellent, interesting and expertly cooked. On this visit the food was a big disappointment. I had monkfish curry, which very average. My wife had what were supposed to be salmon fish cakes. These were awful and didn’t taste of salmon. In fact they were worse than cheap supermarket processed fish cakes. The waitress did agree to waive the charge for this part of the meal. I hope that this was a blip in what I recall as high standards of cooking before.
