We are regular customers because the food is predictably excellent, the kitchen is flexible about preference details and dietary issues, the service is friendly and competent, the ambiance is visually attractive and acoustically controlled to the point where conversation is easy. Valet parking is also nice in downtown Ottawa. We enjoy other eating experiences as well, but the noise in some is a deterrent. The Shore Club is just "civilized" and gets so many things right that it is hard to fault. Well done!

Went for lunch. Had a salad. It was decent but way too salty. Service was fast. Our waiter was nice but another one that came to our table at some point was not. He seemed in a bad mood. A bit too overpriced as well. Disappointing.

A great experience tonight. The kids’ menu was well thought out and service was quick, which made dinner easy with a child. I really appreciated the gluten-free options. The seafood platter was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional, especially the wine recommendations, clearly from a true connoisseur. 🍷🦞

Worst experience this year by far. Over-priced and over-hyped. Food arrived 1hr 15 mins after ordering and 3 of the dishes (out of 4) were raw. Salmon tartare tasted funky, burger was overcooked and lobster bisque was sweet. The worst were the salt and vinegar fries for the table, they were so salty you could barely taste anything else. I wish I didn’t inform them of my anniversary as what we got as a ‘free dessert’ were 4 small pieces of cold s’more (which my wife could not eat because of her dairy allergy).
