The Swamp Fox Restaurant and Bar, named for Revolutionary War hero, General Francis Marion, features classic Southern cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Executive Chef Heyward Davis and Chef De Cuisine Daniel James create regional specialties that emphasize farm to table practices using locally grown fruits and vegetables with respect to the traditional beloved flavors and techniques of the Lowcountry.

Known for its award-winning Shrimp and Grits, The Swamp Fox Restaurant and Bar overlooks historic Marion Square Park and is popular with both locals and visitors to Charleston. Guests can enjoy live piano Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm - 9pm.

The restaurant also has a private dining room, the Parkview, that seats thirty and overlooks King Street and Marion Square Park. This intimate space is perfect for private events and small parties.

Masks are recommended for fully vaccinated customers. Consistent with CDC guidelines, unvaccinated customers should wear masks.

Eric was very helpful with my gluten allergies. My husband ordered Shrimp and Grits and the waiter recommended the mini versus dinner size portion which is quite large. My Risotto and scallops were delicious. The Pear salad was quite good and was plentiful with cranberries, gorgonzola and toasted pecans. The ambiance was delightful with a piano man playing Christmas Carols.

Exceptional! The food was delicious. I especially loved my dish of Wreck Fish with Speckled Beans. And we all loved their Ceviche and Brussel Sprouts for appetizers. Our server Abbey was lovely and knowledgeable. Just a wonderful dining experience!

Our experience was elevated by our server, Sylvie! Her generosity of heart and beautiful spirit brought so much more to our table! It is rare to find such joy in another human being. She was the highlight of entire stay in Charleston! And her French accent brought us fond memories of our trips to Paris.

Food was very good. The only negative was the fried chicken (I had the sandwich, my wife had the meal) which was a little tough. The rest of the food was terrific. Our server was Sylvie and I can't compliment her enough! She was wonderful! When we go back we will be requesting her as she was such a pleasure! Would definitely recommend.

A 45 minute wait for dinner is about 25 minutes too long. The chicken should have been more attractively presented. It was darker than brown and strangely shaped, so it seemed more like a large burnt nugget than a piece of natural chicken. However, the breakfast buffet was definitely superb and worth enjoying the next morning.

We ate at the Swamp Fox for the first time. The food was excellent and so well seasoned. The salmon, red rice and collards were delicious! My husband and I will definitely return.
