We have a wonderful visit and love the ambiance and service at Windsor Arms Hotel. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive and provided great recommendations. We also love the afternoon tea menu. The sandwiches and scones were delicious and fresh! We can’t wait to come back again!

Mother-Daughter Valentine's Day outing. Waiter was very kind and helpful, food arrived quickly. We were unfortunately seated in the room on the other side of the main entrance. I had hoped to be seated in the main space where the flowers and fireplace were. The music was extremely off-putting for the experience. Would have made much more sense to have instrumental or classical music playing instead of CHFI-style 70s/80s music. Sandwiches were lovely, but the scones were cold and hard ... did not taste fresh. Additional dessert created for Valentine's was by far the best. Would have appreciated if there was more fruit included. Jams/Preserves/Clotted Cream on the table was not fresh and seemed as tho it had a skin on it. For what we paid, and for the reputation of the hotel - it was disappointing. We've experienced far better High Tea in other locations around Toronto.

This was disappointment wrapped in a pretty bow. We arrived and the tea rooms were cute and decorated as you would expect for a High Tea experience. We sat and waited about 20min until our server came over. We ordered our tea and told food was coming. There tea arrived and it was very nice. Food arrived and looked beautiful, but that is when all the good ended. They didn’t bring any butter or jams with the food. We asked 3 servers to bring it over and took over 30 min. The scones were ok at best but the sandwiches were inedible. The bread tasted as stale as one could get it and yet they were all soggy at the same time. The “Cornish hen” tasted like canned chicken from the dollar store that went rancid. Another cucumber sandwich was so soggy on the stale bread it turned to mush when picked up. The mini cupcake that was likely also bought from a dollar store was so stale that it crunched when I bit into it. All the food tasted like they were left overs from a funeral. We barely ate any of it. No server ever checked on us. Eventually we asked a server for our bill after waiting 45 mins for someone to attend to us. No it wasn’t busy or lack of servers. Just terrible service and food was legit inedible. I have been to many high teas in my day and this was a joke. Save your money!

Our first Afternoon Tea at the Arms. Decor and presentation were lovely but was a bit too much food for the price $130 per person and we could only eat 1/2 of it. Would suggest less food at a lower price point - also only 1 type of tea selection in a very large pot for each person. Smaller pots would keep the tea warm longer and perhaps allow for guests to try more than 1 flavour at a sitting.
