We have been to this restaurant a number of times over the years for both breakfast and dinner. The food is good and given its location at reasonable enough prices. So we keep coming back.

The food is very good especially the risottos and the apple crisp but for the price point it was surprising to have no bread and no garnishes on either entree. Waiter did not clear table of unused plates and empty glass before serving dessert. Apple crisp was excellent but would have been better served in a bowl.

We celebrated our anniversary there, and they made it so special. The crab bake was amazing, better than a crab boil and if you want a treat the haystack dessert is so delicious and decadent!

After seating, we were forgotten at our table for ~10 minutes. When we were discovered, we indicated to our waiter we were looking forward to a relaxing, unrushed experience with a couple rounds of cocktails before dinner, then wine with our meals (it was an anniversary meal). After placing our order (and having to poll the waiter to tell us about the features and specials), we placed our order. Shockingly, our appetizer arrived at the same moment as our cocktails (roughly 5 minutes), and even more galling, our mains arrived less than 2 minutes after that - we hadn't even touched our first course before the entree arrived. Management was understanding and offered some concessions, and we requested dessert to go; that request was also ignored, and dessert was served at the table. As for the food and beverage program, the cocktails are comical (think unintentional Trader Vic's, but completely anachronisticly); the food was well intentioned but *very* overcooked and underseasoned (halibut was cooked beyond dry and dense). The missus and I ordered the same main, with the two serving sizes being radically different portions. As for price, I appreciate paying a premium for (supposed) "upscale" in a resort town, but $50 risotto (and poorly prepared at that) makes you raise an eyebrow (or at least expect it's serviceable). Will not return. Addendum: during my last visit over a year ago, Wayfarer was serving local sturgeon, which is an endangered species in Oregon, protected from harvesting, and prohibited from commercial fisheries. That alone is inexcusable and worthy of avoiding patronizing this place.

Service was fantastic. Dinner was okay - the halibut was overcooked, but everything else was fine. Breakfast is always great and love the dining room and aesthetic.

Food prices were out of line for taste, quality and quantity. Definitely not on our return list.

Cocktails were not the best. Services were slow. Food in general was good but not great especially for the cost

Finally they named the crab bake the crab bake! Start with a crab cocktail, finish with the crab bake and you’ll be a happy camper. Oh, and the drink cocktails are excellent as well.
