The internationally acclaimed Whaling Station Steakhouse, perched just above Steinbeck’s Cannery Row has been Monterey County’s #1 Steak House for over 50 years, The Whaling Station takes the term “Steakhouse” seriously...Select your USDA Prime cut of the USA’s finest beef from a silver tray or enjoy our slow-roasted USDA Prime, Prime Rib. An award-winning wine list and full spirits bar compliment your dining experience. Serving Dinner and cocktails from 4:30pm daily. The Bar at The Whaling Station Steakhouse has its own menu and its own local following, with drink specials and lively conversation served nightly. Parking in our private lot.

    It was really loud inside the restaurant. There was a party of about 20 that was loud and annoying. They should have put them at another location. The food was ok but the dinner was ruined by annoyingly loud people. Next time I will eat at the steak houses in Carmel by the Sea.

    Turbo is an amazing waiter. My wife and I really enjoyed his recommendations and the food was superb. Would highly recommend and refer to friends and family for a night out or any special occasion.

    Everyone was so attentive yet gave us plenty of room to converse and enjoy our dinner. Ribeye Steaks were delicious. We will definitely be back.

    This evening, we dined at the restaurant to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and while the experience was overall enjoyable, we couldn’t help but notice some inconsistencies in the service. The hostess was very kind and acknowledged the birthday, but our server did not. We also observed that people who were seated after us were served before we were, and the wait time for our food was unusually long. Additionally, other tables around us received complimentary cannolis, yet we were not offered the same. This made us feel uncomfortable, and it seemed like there may have been some bias in how we were treated. We wanted to share this feedback, as we believe all guests should be treated with the same level of care and respect

    A nice steakhouse near the cannery row area. Great bar we’d like to try next time in town. We both had some Solid martinis and for dinner I had a shrimp pasta that was very good and my girl had a beef Wellington that was very tasty. Sides were solid too. Go enjoy a meal here.

    The Whaling Station has been our long time Anniversary dinner place to go. Our Steaks were cooked to perfection and the portions were delicious. From the time we checked in to the time we left the staff insured all our needs were met. We highly recommend the Whaling Station Steakhouse for any of your dining needs.     David our server was very good. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was that fitting of a steak house. It was just a tad warm inside, but everything was on point. The standout was he service however bot our main server and assistant were on point.
