    Meatery is nothing short of amazing. My wife and I were impressed when we visited last year. Given the name of the place, the meats were exceptional - we had the turkey necks, venison, and duck, each the best serving of the corresponding animal we'd had. The creamed spinach that accompanied the venison was something any carnivore would do well to try, absolutely divine. But the real surprise of the evening, and something that haunted us for at least two months after our visit, were the grits. I would absolutely eat my weight in those grits, if given the opportunity and privacy to do so. This past weekend, March of 2025, we decided to take a quick 5 hour drive south to NOLA to get a Meatery fix. Again, we got grits, we got duck, and we got venison. Each component alone made the drive worth it. We opted for cracklins instead of the turkey necks (no knocks against them, I just wanted to try them). And, we ordered the coconut cake, which was the perfect sweet finish to round things out. Meatery might just be my favorite place on this planet. Thank you for having us, for serving such wonderful food at a more than reasonable price point and in such a down to earth atmosphere.

    Our meals were simply incredible. Best I've had in awhile. The chicken thighs confit and the seafood couvillion were out of this world. It's not a budget meal, but really really worth it if you want to treat yourself.

    have to say, I’m not even a big meat-eater but man this was incredible. I will be dreaming about the lamb neck (which I normally never would’ve ordered) for a long time. huge portions, wonderful cocktails and wine list, and attentive yet un-snobby service. really really enjoyed this spot.

    All the food was incredible, we also had the special, the mussels, which was delicious. The cocktails and wine selection are wonderful. The service was great, and I love supporting a restaurant that gives SO much to the community!

    Want a lunch full of flavor and a puntch. Then, head to Toups Meatery for a quick lunch. They have many small plates, boards, and spectacular sandwiches, and even a few larger plates. The restaurant never disappoints.

    The pork chop we ordered came out raw. We sent it back and it came out still raw. Was very disappointing!

    The food was incredible! Tried a bunch of food I never would have other wise! Our waiter was great but unfortunately he was the only one working on lundi gras and it got super packed and he was trying his best but definitely had to wait a really long time for our beers and to get our check. We would definitely return though!

    We had an amazing experience. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Don’t skip on the turkey necks and chicken gizzards for appetizers. We will definitely be visiting again.

    We went for brunch and it was a wonderful experience. My friends had the Toup's burger and the charcuterie plate, I had the cheese board and discovered a new favorite cheese! Service was friendly and not overly attentive. It was a fantastic experience.
