Trail Creek Cabin is Sun Valley’s destination for romantic dining in a rustic, western atmosphere. Originally built in 1937, this mountain-style log cabin-turned-restaurant sits right next to the rambling waters of Trail Creek, with a jaw-dropping view of Bald Mountain in the distance.

Trail Creek Cabin is closed for the winter season and will re-open in December of 2024. For private events, please call 208.622.2047.

Located 1.5 miles east of the Sun Valley Lodge (half a mile past the Sun Valley Club).

Had such an amazing dining experience at Trail Creek Cabin. The pot pie was unbelievable and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend.

My wife told our waiter that her meal, duck pot pie was one of the top 5 meals she has had in her life. I’ll always reserve a table here whenever I am in Sun Valley.

Incredibly charming place with interesting history and fabulous food. The Butternut bisque with fennel pollen and beet powder was unbelievably delicious and the scallop special done to perfection. And the view can't be beat. Our server, Terry, made our birthday dinner especially welcoming and memorable. When in Sun Valley, a meal at Trail Creek Cabin is a must.

the sleigh ride was wonderful even on a very cold dark night.. The stars that can be seen on the ride make the ride magical. Then the cabin was charming and the food great. FYI Up load the app Sky View to see exactly what the constellations are in the sky....its awesome

Our expectations were blown away. We sat near the fireplace, which had a lit fire along and along with the decor, made it very cozy and inviting. Our waiter, John, was very personable, he was the perfect balance of attentive without making us feel rushed. He gave some great recommendations. The food was outstanding! All four of us raved about every course -- brussel sprouts were melt in your mouth and I can't get the homemade ravioli out of my head, even the house salad (which can be unexciting), got rave reviews at our table. Thank you for a great night!

Sleigh ride was cold (dress for it) but totally worth it. The full moon over the mountains did clearly add to the the experience. The trout was unbelievable although the member of our party that ordered the buffalo was not exactly unhappy!!
