Overall had a satisfying meal at Twisted Cuban. Wish they served Cuban soft drinks such as Jupina, Malta or Materva but their Cuban Rum Punch was very tasty. Has most common Cuban specialties but missing a few of our favorites. Was surprised that they didn’t offer Cuban bread for the table…either complimentary or for a fee….it was nonexistent. Also missing from the menu was the ensalada de aguacate which is usually a staple at most Cuban restaurants. The papa rellanos were solid. Ditto re: tostones and platanos maduros. The corn fritters were also fine. The Ropa Vieja had a very strong tomato taste (almost bbq-like), the meat was very stewed and did not stand out in the dish. The Ropa Vieja was served on a bed of Basmati rice which is not the typical rice that is traditionally used in Cuban food. The black beans were fine, maybe could have a little more flavor to them. Flan was homemade and had an excellent smooth consistency but was extremely sweet, rich and dense. All in all, we enjoyed experiencing some Cuban food in the Pacific Northwest….a rare commodity as most other places offered more of a Latin American food menu and not strictly Cuban.

Saw this place on Trip Advisor, so gave it a try. Small place, right on a major road. The menu was amazing with all types of Cuban food. Ordered great cocktails and took the server’s recommendations for appetizers and entrees. The empanadas and fried plantains were delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back.

This was our first time here. All my friends and acquaintances have highly recommended this place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food came out right on time and looked amazing. Of course I had to try their Cuban to see how it compares to others. It did not disappoint whatsoever. Yuca fries were amazing and cooked perfectly. Was so filling had to take the other half home for my lunch tomorrow. My family and I will certainly be going back again. We found ourselves a new place to go here in Woodinville!

In the past this restaurant was very good and why my husband and I were looking forward to eating there again. Unfortunately the food this time was not even close to what it was before. It was lackluster and seemed like it had been sitting around a while. My shrimp tasted like it was thrown together and the cook didn’t really care about putting out a good meal. Even our mojitos weren’t that good. We won’t be going back.

We relocated from Miami, FL just 5 months ago and didn't realize how much we'd miss our authentic Cuban food until recently when our son requested Yuca frita and plátanos maduros out of the blue! From Bellevue, we'd gone out to Seattle thinking we'd experience something close to authentic but nope! Then, we discovered Twisted Cuban Cafe on google, which had 5 stars and the food photos portrayed legit Cuban dished that our grandparents would cook up for us. We took the chance and drove out 30 minutes to Woodinville-- and, the team did not disappoint! We felt at home and so comforted by the quality of the food, the authenticity of the dishes, and the warm atmosphere and service. I hadn't seen our kids eat so much and so passionately in months! Thank you! We'll be back for sure!
