Bringing its hallmark level of quality and service to an urban location, Uchi Houston made its debut in 2012 in the former historic Felix space on Westheimer. Melding culinary innovation with an approachable vibe, the menu features items culled from both Uchi and Uchiko in Austin, along with signature seasonal items created by our Chef team.     Amazing experience, we tried the omakase, the chefs selections were all truly amazing, it was definitely the best sushi i have ever ate and experienced .

    Our entire experience was amazing, from arrival to departure. Our waiter (Anthony) was great, his recommendations were perfect. The staff was polite, quick and knowledgeable. We received details of everything we ordered, which furthered our appreciation for the entire experience. This being our first time, we highly recommended and we will be back very soon. Easily best sushi in Houston, a 12 out 10.

    An annual dinner destination for me and an out of town friend. We simply sit back and let the staff choose the selections and have never been disappointed. Fantastic food with the service to match!

    A once great restaurant that has become a victim of their own success. I had an 8:30pm reservation on a Friday evening. We waited 45 minutes for our table after we checked in. We were fortunate enough to score one of the 8 chairs at the bar, where we enjoyed a $13 bottle of Negori Saki for the bargain price of $55. Once seated, our server knew almost nothing about the menu and couldn't identify the fish by their Japanese names. We enjoyed a small handful of Edamame for $8, six pieces of sushi (unagi, tuna and Salmon Roe) and two orders of Hamachi for the bargin price of $150. Because we waited so long for the food, we ended up springing for another $55 bottle of the sake. While we enjoyed waiting for our dinner and saki, we were ask no less than 10 times if we were done, and if they could clear the table. Don't ask your patrons to wait 45 minutes beyond their reservation, then attempt to rush them out the door while they are still eating the tiny portions that they waited 30 minutes for. All in $255 for dinner for two and we had to stop and get something to eat on the way home. This was my last visit to Uchi. You cannot treat your customers like a convenience and expect them to return, and most certainly not at this price point.

    The portions were ridiculously small, the flavor of most of the dishes we selected were subpar and the price too steep to justify the shortcomings of the very limited menu.

    Uchi never disappoints! My husband and I love dining here, sushi is always fresh and service is impeccable. We love sitting at the sushi bar.
