About this restaurant

Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    Lovely place Very good menu items. Prices were WAY too high. Out of line with the market.

    Thank you for your comments and feedback, Michael. As you know, overall prices from the last five years marked the greatest annual increase in 30 years. Like you at the gas pump and at the grocery store, we’re paying more to all of our suppliers as well.   We have held the line on our prices as much as possible, but we have raised the menu prices on some items. We choose not to pay less for inferior products.  We’d rather continue to provide the quality you expect from our restaurants.   For value, we believe we’re still a great option and hope you choose to return.

    This was our first time going to this restaurant. We had a 1905 gift card and saw it on there and figured the other ones are fantastic let’s give this one a go….so glad we did! I believe our waitress name was Christina. She was fantastic and very attentive to the table. Overall you gained a regular because of the experience!

    Six of us women of varying ages met for dinner on a Tuesday night. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Meatloaf and short ribs were a big hit. We will be back!

    We were celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary with family. We love Ulele’s and eat here whenever we visit Tampa. Our server Bryson was wonderful! We will be back for sure next year!
