   It’s been about 15 years since we last at Umi and nothings changed. The food is great as was the service. Hard to justify the price with so many great sushi restaurants in the city. Great experience but will probably explore other options at half the price

   Outstanding food in a very cool venue. Our waitress was excellent. The various courses were unbelievable- each one better than the last. And, don't forget dessert- it was amazing.

   It is a wonderful experience. They do Omikase serving where the chef choses your courses. You can get 7 or 11 courses. It is fabulous! It is not for the discount or coupon hunters. This is a fine dining experience. Expect this when you go there. It is worth every penny if you are in that $$$$ price range. We have been there 4 times, and its our celebration spot.

   As always Umi as awesome. Little pricey but great food and service. Mr. Shu runs a great resataurant and he is the best sushi chef around.

   I don’t mind spending a lot of $ on a great meal, especially sushi but this was not worth it at all. Soup, salad, thin slices of sashimi, 1 course of bang bang shrimp ( which you can get anywhere now) & sushi sized cod (cheap fish) & 2 drinks each for almost $245 without tip. No ginger, wasabi or rice served until the last course. We were hungry an hour later. The floor tables were cool & server was nice but told us her back & knees hurt from bending so we felt bad each time she stooped to serve us or take plates. Atmosphere is nice but I wouldn’t go back.

   If you’ve never been to an omakase before and you are with someone who is new to raw fish, this is a good decent intro spot.
