    way too noisy someone came over to us minutes after being seated for 6:30 reservation today the table was reserved for 8:00 no need for piano player just adds to the already crazy high noise level

    We have enjoyed our visits to Underhills Crossing in the past but this dinner was made very uncomfortable due to the incredibly high noise level. They have a piano player/singer working in the restaurant and, although he was not overpowering his underlying sound helped raise the general sound level to an almost unbearable level. The food and service were excellent but the overbearing amount of sound made the entire experience unpleasant.

    Loud, unable to have convo. $38 plus tip and tax for a dry omelette “frittata” without any potatoes. Reservations for 1:00pm. Food arrived at 2:00pm. Best part of the meal was the bread served with lentils in oil.

    Underhill Crossing is truly a gem. The service is superlative, as is the food. Going to this restaurant makes you feel like you rolled back time to the elegance of yesteryear.

    Service was mediocre. We were literally ignored for 20 minutes at end of meal waiting to ask for the check. 4 waiters and host walked past the table multiple times without checking in.

    Food was excellent: escargot, bleu cheese-stuffed figs, branzino, scallops, and veal milanese all outstanding. Wine options were great too. It was simply way too loud for dinner on a Friday night, and they threw a piano player on top of the din (he was good but added to the noise). Our servers seemed to be overwhelmed. They were not attentive at all, got my drink order wrong, had to order the same glass of wine twice, and ended up asking another server just to get a check. Given how pricey the place was, I would have expected better service and a dinner ambience, not a fend -for-yourself bar-like vibe.
