   Sat on the front patio - Urban Grub never disappoints- Always excellent food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere with fireplaces scattered throughout.

   We had a party of 4, sat outside in the heated patio. Very comfortable and cozy. 2 of us got the shrimp and grits. Savory sauce, really good. My husband got the scallops. He enjoyed them, good flavor but there were only 3 scallops. Would go back.

   We are regulars here. We’ve never had a bad experience, until Valentine’s Day last night. The menu posted online mentioned ZERO about a $75 up charge for the rib eye, or other items on the menu that had an added charge outside of the $300 my wife and I spent simply for a seat at the table. The bruschetta was terrible. Cheap, small toasts, spread with a thin layer or mascarpone, and topped with a heaping portion of various fruits. That in itself is not bruschetta, but they failed to use the prosciutto or the hot honey that was mentioned on the menu. The filet was supposed to come with charred broccolini, but unfortunately we got frozen mushed broccoli over mashed potato’s instead. The filet was ordered medium and served closer to blue rare. They ran out of the desert we ordered which is no problem, they alerted us before it was set to come out and we pivoted without issue. The problem is that the meal was severely overpriced and pretentious for what you actually received. Every table nearby were sending back their food for being cold, undercooked, or just not tasting good enough to justify dropping $300. After the tip, we were out the door just below $500 after add ons (not mentioned), drinks, and tip. Urban Grub made alot of money last night, but unfortunately the customers in my presence nearby, and ourselves, did not receive anything of value with the experience that was provided. We are not the type to complain in these situations, but it bothered me the more I thought about it, and want to make those concerns known to management that, in a restaurant that is widely considered a local establishment, you’ve got to do a better job of giving value to your customers on what’s supposed to be a happy, loving day.

   This is an excellent restaurant with elite pricing and so perfection would be a reasonable expectation. The execution in the kitchen did not live up to expectation, although the service was an elite experience. It was Valentine's evening and I did not want to complain in front of my companion, whose meal was fine. My pot stickers were far overcooked and my medium filet was rare by anyone's estimation. Our tab for two dinners and two cocktails was over $450. Given the execution it was a $250 meal.

   The experience was awesome! The food was definitely fabulous but the cost was a little scary. With tip it was around $500 for the two of us… but we had a great time!

   The A5 Japanese Wagyu was the best I’ve ever tried in Nashville! In addition, their seafood is flown in fresh so we tried oysters and scallops. The oysters were clean and didn’t need any extra fixings to be enjoyed. The scallops were prepared perfectly as well. The diner was finished with butter pecan donuts! They were warm, fresh, and rich!

    We loved the wagyu steak, pork chop, filet, and grouper. Charcuterie board was outstanding. Service was on point. Very good night out.
