Restaurant à la gestion familiale depuis plus de 50 ans, le Vallozzi's Pittsburgh suit les traces du restaurant classique Vallozzi de Greensburg, en Pennsylvanie. L'établissement utilise des ingrédients frais de qualité, ainsi que des viandes et fromages italiens transportés par avion depuis l'Italie chaque semaine. Il propose aussi une grande carte des vins, au verre ou à la bouteille. Helen ouvra alors un restaurant à emporter à Latrobe, Pennsylavanie, quelques années plus tard, lorsque sa popularité a explosé. En 1977, Ernie Vallozzi a déplacé le restaurant de sa mère à Greensburg, où celui-ci est toujours ouvert et en fonctionnement. First let me start by saying we have had consistently good experiences at this restaurant. David provided excellent service for Valentine’s Dinner. The cocktail that was chocolate and strawberry flavored should be kept on the regular menu! I had short ribs and my husband had seafood risotto and both were top notch! I ordered bread pudding and my husband had the tiramisu and once again top notch! I have one complaint around the buffalo mozzarella caprese…not sure it was Buffalo cheese as the texture on Buffalo is spongier but the most important issue was the 5 small baby tomatoes that were overripe. A good caprese has a solid slice of tomato to match the mozzarella slice. Also, a balsamic drizzle adds the final perfect touch and that was missing too. I definitely would not order that again. It was almost the perfect dinner!

Our first time there, we thought it was wonderful. Food was fantastic, service was great. Staff was excellent.

Everything was very good. The service was attentive but not too much. I started with a Caesar's salad which was large and I almost could not finish it. For my entrée, I had the Scallops which were done perfectly. For dessert, I had the Bread Pudding which was delicious.

We love the bar area. Ali is a great server. She is very pleasant and delivers great customer service. She is really great. Food is always good. You can carry on a conversation in the bar which is important!! Noise level is good

Love this restaurant. They make it easy to dine in the city. Valet park is a plus!!relatively close to theaters. They are willing to please . Great food and ambiance!

It was a great experience, a little noisy but overall the drinks and food were fabulous. The portions were huge.

Great for an occasion! We were visiting family in town, and needed a place where several different eating habits could have a good meal together. This was a great choice. We ordered meatballs, arancini, the beet salad, and the buffalo mozzarella as shared starters. The meatballs and arancini were both accessible for the younger diners, and very good for the adults. The beet salad was fantastic- the pear and goat cheese and beets all offered distinct flavors that created a nice effect. The mozzarella was surprisingly heavy on the squash, but also very good. The entrees were exceptional. The special, a swordfish with tomato chutney over risotto, was a big hit. The beef tetrazzini with mushrooms was earthy and compelling. And the gnocchi with sausage and rapini had a very pleasant tang to go with a good texture. It is worth noting that we were seating in the room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and on one of the coldest nights of the year it was chillier in that room than in the interior dining room. But otherwise it was a great evening.
