Restaurant à la gestion familiale depuis plus de 50 ans, le Vallozzi's Pittsburgh suit les traces du restaurant classique Vallozzi de Greensburg, en Pennsylvanie. L'établissement utilise des ingrédients frais de qualité, ainsi que des viandes et fromages italiens transportés par avion depuis l'Italie chaque semaine. Il propose aussi une grande carte des vins, au verre ou à la bouteille. L'histoire du Vallozzi's a commencé il y a plus de 50 ans, lorsque Helen Vallozzi vendait des pâtes maison. Helen ouvra alors un restaurant à emporter à Latrobe, Pennsylavanie, quelques années plus tard, lorsque sa popularité a explosé. En 1977, Ernie Vallozzi a déplacé le restaurant de sa mère à Greensburg, où celui-ci est toujours ouvert et en fonctionnement. En 2012, le fils d'Ernie a élargi la tradition dans le centre-ville de Pittsburgh.

                                                                            Food was good, not great. The red snapper special would have been better without all the eggplant or it should have been served on the side. My friend loved his pasta dish.

                                                                            Our waiter David was excellent.Efficient and personable. Everyone loved their food. The portions were large. For the first time ever, my Veal Marsala… The flavor was excellent. The mushrooms were delicious. But the veal was tough. It’s never happened before. So I was a little disappointed, but everybody else’s meal was very good. The tiramisu dessert was enough for three people lol. And it was delicious. The beet salads with the poached pears were really, really really good. Great dining experience.

                                                                            We were pleasantly greeted and seated immediately upon arrival even though we were 15 minutes early. Our waiter was excellent and was able to answer all of our questions about the menu. The food was served hot and delicious! The prices were reasonable for the food we ordered. Wonderful ambience! We’d happily go there again.

                                                                            We had a great experience at this restaurant! First you get bread with whipped ricotta and olive oil. For an appetizer we got the meatballs and they were amazing. We both got the rigatoni alla vodka. I liked mine with the Italian sausage. Our server was Anthony and we loved him! Would recommend this place for a more relaxed date night.

                                                                            I had reserved a Bar Table for two on a Saturday night one month in advance. Upon arrival, there was a note posted on the door indicating the Lounge / Bar was closed due to a private event. I had not been contacted by the restaurant regarding this change to our reservation. Upon entering the restaurant, we noted the Lounge area was empty and inquired at what time the private event was scheduled for. which turned out to be one hour from our arrival time. That being the case and our first time there, I asked if we could enjoy a quick cocktail in the Lounge prior to our meal, which was declined. At that point we were offered a table, and we asked to have a look at the seating arrangements as we had not been before. We looked at a couple of tables we didn't quite like the location of and finally found one off to the side. I left my seated wife for a couple of minutes to have a look at the bar, and upon my return she indicated one of the servers had abruptly approached her while reading the menu and caught her off guard. My wife then heard the server indicating to someone that she had responded rudely, which was not the case. We ordered appetizers of meatballs (ok) and Arancini (very good) along with a meal of crab cakes (good) and gnocchi (good). The experience felt rushed and was not to our liking, unfortunately we will not return.
