   Vernon's is a great place to visit for special occasion or if you just want to enjoy a great meal. I took my mother and aunt who were visiting from out of state and they really enjoyed the meal and live entertainment. Calvin played the piano extremely well. I had Los Ranchos steak which was great because it was juicy and the butter sauce is awesome. Also I recommend the bread pudding for dessert. Lastly all of the staff from the doorman to hostess were outstanding because they are friendly and attentive.

   Fun, nice jazz, fantastic wine list, and great food. One of the half-dozen best places in town.

   The restaurant set you up for their ambiance with the entrance. The speakeasy has a very talented greeter in mob attire who opens a small slotted window in the door and asks you for the password (that they sent you earlier that day). After answering, he gives you a quick rundown of the rules and several great jokes. Upon entering through a hidden portal bookcase, you enter the office, which is the reception area, and then our lead to your table. In a dark room with beautiful paintings on the wall and black curtains hanging strategically to provide privacy and quiet some of the din. This set the tone for our entire experience. Be sure to bring some extra cash to tip the greeter. He is an excellent performer. The food was delicious, albeit may be a bit pricey for some on a more fixed budget. We were celebrating and felt that the expense was acceptable. The drinks were sexy and unique, and I thoroughly enjoyed two of their cocktails . My compatriot savored his watermelon hard cider. Excellent choice for a unique and fun experience. I would not necessarily recommend this for children, but only because it doesn't seem to cater to the types of food they might be more likely to enjoy. They also had a live pianist inside another curtained area. We did not get to experience their traditional exit, because we asked to go back to the front room to provide a tip to the greeter. All of the service at this restaurant was above my expectations. I highly recommend them for business or pleasure. And it is a perfect fun and quiet spot for a date.

   The sea bass was the best we ever tasted. The prime rib was thinly cut with a ton of fat, and probably the worst I’ve ever had. Certainly not worth the high price tag. I don’t mind paying for really good food, but don’t waste your money on the prime rib. Enjoyed the “door” entertainment. Waitstaff was amazing too. For a speakeasy and an experience, beyond the door, very disappointing. Drinks were awesome!

   First time at this restaurant after hearing high reviews. The experience was amazing and the food was excellent. My husband and I had separate entrees because of how we preferred our steak cooked. The staff made the experience very enjoyable. We sat by the band and music fit the atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

   Tommy working the door was awesome. Kai was attentive and helpful. Sean took our evening to the next level with service. His suggestions were amazing and very delicious. Santo made sure we were having a blast. Thank you for an amazing night.

    I took my 15 yo daughter just so she could experience Vernon’s. Our server Sean was amazing and the restaurant did not disappoint. Such a special evening we will both always remember.
