   Never get disappointed at Vero Bistro. Cocktails always taste good and refreshing. The food quality is always consistent and the service is superb. Started with the escargots and the baratta salad. Followed with “steamy hot” squash soup. The soup was creamy and tasty. We had beef tenderloin with truffle and the beef was so tender. Finished off with cheesecake and mango coconut gelato. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

   We Always love going to Vero bistro. The servers are fantastic. The ambiance warm and inviting. Jenne’s food is always sensational. They received a fresh shipment of truffles last evening and and that made everything even more outstanding .

   We had an amazing experience at Vero. The food was amazing. We had the surf and turf. The service was also unbeatable. You can tell Jenny is truly passionate about food and a unique experience. This is easily our new favorite restaurant in Calgary. We left so happy. Highly recommend!!

   Quite disappointing. While the service was very good, the atmosphere and food were mediocre. It was a wedding anniversary and we asked for a quiet table - unfortunately they kind of jammed us in a corner on a small table at the front. Not very comfortable or quiet. The amuse bouche was very fishy tasting and smelling. The lobster bisque was not creamy and it was bitter. Some of the lobster pieces were ok, but most were overdone and chewy. A nice thing was that the server/manager did not charge us for the bisque. Strangely, the bisque was supposed to be a daily special but it was not special at all. The rest of the meal was okay, but nothing to write home about and the total price of the meL was still very high. Would not recommend.

   We recently celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at Vero and thought it was a diamond in the rough. Tucked away in the middle of Kensington, you’ve probably walked by it without realizing. We were pleasantly surprised to walk in and see such a cozy atmosphere with candles and classy music. Friendly staff greeted us and provided top tier service the whole time. We ordered a burrata salad, arancini, steak frites, lamb chops, and sweet potato gnocchi. Everything arrived pipping hot and fresh, you could really tell that they source good ingredients and the chef prepares the dishes to perfection. Especially the lamb, probably the best I’ve had. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!

   Great atmosphere. Great tasting foods and presentation! Bit noisy from a couple tables. Could trim off the elasticky membrane from the calamari - bit embarrassing to eat or contend with

   A bit overrated, food was just ok, not worth the price. Lamb was too salty, rest of food also over seasoned a little. Food looks nice in pictures, taste not as great for the price.

All of your plates were finished to the last morsal. I guess we are surprised by the review.
