   Have been coming here for many years. Today was our last. After waiting for 30 min for our reservation, the hostess let a couple who just walked in to be seated ahead of us. Even though we had a reservation and waited patiently. To add to the story, it took another 20 min to get someone’s attention to take our order. The food arrived and it was bland: not as good as before. My daughter’s pasta was so bad she didn’t finish it. The dinner experience was horrible and We were late to our evening show. Do not recommend.

   We told the server at beginning that we needed to get to the theater. Still, food came late. Eggplant was burnt. Soup not hot. Missed part of our order. Had to be reminded twice to bring our check.

   It was early for dinner so we had a lovely glass of Sancerre and two appetizers. The calamari was fried to perfection and includedby some incorporated fried zucchini and two dipping sauces. It he second order was a tomatoe and whole mozzarella beautifully presented. My guest enjoyed her salad.

   Vespaio is one of my favorite restaurants. Going to Disney Hall is always extra special when we have dinner at Vespaio before. Their hostess is wonderful

   I understand it’s tough out there, but it was very noticeable that Vespaio has raised there prices quite considerably. We have students at Colburn across the street and have been coming for years. I think this was the first time we were slightly taken aback by the check. Thank goodness for Happy Hour, which we still frequent!

   We were squeezed into a table and food was delivered for another table before we even ordered. Once the inattentive waitress took our order, food came slow and when we finally got our main course it was cold. I had to send my pasta back twice because it was cold. The manager did not acknowledge the poor service or the cold food.

   Food there is consistently good, our fish was undercooked, but the waiter very quickly took it back and cooked us some new fish. Only complaint really is that the salads have gotten so small. I always order the artichoke salad and it was tiny.

   I hate pan any restaurant, especially those near the Music Center, but we were very disappointed. Service was slow, and even though we let our server know we had theater tickets , it did not help move things along. If we hadn’t flagged our server, we might’ve been late the theater. And that was so even before we had a chance to order any desert- which we did not. Food? So-so. Not much in the choice category. Noise? Very loud. We nearly had to shout to hear ourselves. Not going back.

    My server Francis was personable. I love Vespaio but it was a very busy night and even though Francis and I discussed how my meal/order would progress, a busboy brought me dessert when I had just started my dinner. Francis knew it was not supposed to be brought out that soon. That tells me there is not good communication in the kitchen.
