   The restaurant is beautiful. And the atmosphere was very elegant and nice. However, I had planned this trip and picked all of the restaurants I thought were highly recommended for our first trip to Savannah. We got there and were seated promptly. We viewed the menu for a while. Our waitress came over and told us she was sorry but there were three entrees unavailable from the menu. They were key menu items. So we opted for the only steak on the menu. We did get a shrimp appetizer and it was very good. The waitress returns to the table to tell us they actually didn’t have anymore filets either. They offered us the kids steak or order something else from the menu that was already limited. So we went for the kids steak. It came out. My boyfriend ordered rare I had ordered medium well. We both cut in and they were identical. I returned mine to the kitchen. Then they brought it back out completely charred. Which is fine I’d rather it be that way. But it was not good. My side of mashed potatoes was missing. The manager asked if I’d like another side because they accidentally threw away my mashed potatoes. I said I’d just like more mashed potatoes. She told me they were out. At that point, we were just laughing. I couldn’t believe this was our experience because this restaurant came so highly recommended. Our waitress was good. Everyone on staff was nice and apologetic. But ultimately when you go to a nice restaurant you want good food. And it was terrible.

   Excellent service and wonderful food. Our party ordered a variety of dishes and everyone raved about each one. Our waitress was helpful and attentive but without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

   Appetizers were exceptionally good. Our party had 4 different meals: 2 were excellent and 2 were average. The rib sandwich and meatloaf were only average. The shrimp pasta and salmon were great. We sat outside near Bay Street. All umbrellas were broken so the sun was a bit of a problem. Also service was ok, not outstanding. Had to ask for drink refills but the orders were all filled correctly.

   My only issue was the bbq sauce on the meatloaf was loaded with mustard which I don’t like and it was unevenly cooked.

   Very good food but our waiter forgot to bring my wife’s glass of wine with her entree as she requested so we reminded him when he came by to check on us THEN He FORGOT AGAIN and didn’t come back around so we finally had to flag down someone else who went and told him (now for the third time) and by the time she got it we were done and ready to order dessert. Fortunately Savannah, like New Orleans, let’s you carry alcohol on the streets if it’s in a plastic container so she got her nice Camus wine in a plastic cup and she didn’t get to enjoy it with her dinner.
