The incredibly talented female chefs and leaders of Newport Restaurant Group are teaming up to prepare a four-course dinner in celebration of achievements of women. Chef Jennifer Backman from Castle Hill Inn will start things off by preparing the first course, Chef Mariana Gonzalez from Bar ‘Cino and La Vecina will be creating the second course and Chef Marissa Lo from Boat House will be overseeing course three. Your dessert will be the creation of Chef Camille Murphy from Castle Hill Inn. Stephanie Steed, the wine director at 22 Bowens, will be pairing each course wines from wineries with female winemakers with each course. It’s a truly unique event that highlights the current and future achievements of women in our industry. The dinner is Saturday, March 8th at 6:30 pm at Waterman Grille in Providence. The cost is $110 per person, tax and gratuity included, with reservations available for tables of four and two. A portion of the proceeds will be going to Sojourner House, a Providence-based charity that helps those affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Space is limited.

Food was delicious and Tommy our server was great. Ambience by the fire was so nice on a freezing night. Got there early and they kindly let me get seated at my table to enjoy a glass of wine. Will be back!

Best dining experience we've had for a while. I suggest the heated deck for afternoon brunch. Great food and service 🙂

Brunch. The service here is top notch. The restaurant is cozy and cool at the same time. However, like many places brunch is overpriced and the food is ok, but not worth the price. I would go for dinner or a fancy lunch? But would not bother with brunch unless money is not an issue with your fam.

It’s been years since we’ve been to Waterman and it was even better than we remember. Food was exceptional along with the service! Can’t wait to go back!

One of the best meals I’ve had in months. The rose petals on the white tablecloth were a lovely touch.

Service was great! Ambience was good and quiet. I enjoyed the cocktail list especially the Basil Lemonade one! Food was ok, though I wish the table next to us didn’t order the exact same thing bc I saw how much better theirs was. lol. Changing of shifts maybe but my steak was flat, asparagus was skinny and limp but overall not the worst, my neighbors steak looked amazing and the veg was fresh. The dessert- excellent! Crème brûlée for the win.

Very cozy in the bar with the fireplace. Food was delicious and service superb. This place never disappoints.

Stephen R was an excellent server and made it a great dining experience. The food was delicious, but the peanut butter mousse was too firm for my liking. I like it more soft and light. We have been going there for years and will be back again.
