Our waiter, Aidan, was amazing tonight. He took such good care of us; something you don't see that often these days. This place is a neighborhood gem. The food and drinks were all really good, and the service was exceptional! Thank you Aidan!

Service was good, ambiance was good, but the food was kind of bland. The wedge avocado vinaigrette had no seasoning. The chunk of blue cheese was good, but it’s not practical on a salad and kind of annoying. Garlic mashed potatoes were gummy and also had little to no seasoning.

Being seated next to the fireplace in the main dining room on a cold, snowy day is always enjoyable. West 29th reminds so much of cozy country inns in Europe. Adan and the remainder of the small wait staff were delightful, attentive and responsive, even when things got busy. They covered for each other very well. Unlike the other times we have dined there, the food was not outstanding. The Caesar Salad was very mildly seasoned, without that little garlicky kick we've come to expect. We did appreciate that the kitchen split it for usl The salmon was cooked well-done as my spouse prefers and the smally potatoes, that accompanied it, actually tasted sweet. Unfortunately, the Gorgonzola Beef Stroganoff was a flop for me. The dish I"ve enjoyed so many times is supposed to be a dish with tender pieces of meat, accompanied by noodles in a flavorful sauce...NOT a pasta dish in a creamy cheese sauce with half a dozen little chunks of tough beef, hidden under the noodles. Maybe the plentiful and very tasty mushrooms were suppose to make up for the lack and toughness of the meat, but that didn't work for me First really disappointing dish we've had there. We'll surely return, but will more wary when ordering.

We had a delicious dinner with friends in from out of town. They really enjoyed their meal, too. We've been here many times and have found the food and service to be consistent.

We booked this place as it was close to home. arrived a cold Saturday evening.at 6 pm to warm cozy place. , we were seated by the hostess who didn't utter a word. hmm little strange. then a gentleman dropped off a couple menus. again not a word , the bartender came over and greeted us in a normal matter took our drink order. and served up a couple great martinis. , took our food order and delivered the food in perfect order with great timing. really started liking this place. food was tasty and well prepared with maybe the exception the calamari , kinda went south from there. I ordered another drink. and a desert. finishing up our meal I realized the ac had been turned on as there was cold air coming from the vents. another couple noticed the same and asked to move. to the back room . the. silent treatment resumed. my check was brought. ad paid without another word. As we walked out we past the hostess (bundled up in a winter coat) and bartender. with out a word a . bewildered by the odd experience.

Great service! The cocktails were amazing and a great value — top shelf - - prepared perfectly! Our entrees were delicious. Great local restaurant worth visiting!

We have been hearing great things about this place and had a lovely dinner there on Valentine’s Day! The service was wonderful, I think it was Tonya who took care of us. The food was really delicious- definitely recommend the corn soup and calamari appetizer! Also loved the fennel sauce & potatoes with the salmon! We really liked the whole vibe/feel of the place and can’t wait to go back!
