   Our server was very friendly and came across as really appreciating our business/presence in the restaurant. Our food came out quickly, and it was delicious!

   I've visited Whiskey Cake many times and have always enjoyed it, but tonight was a bit disappointing. We dined as a party of 7, and upon being seated, the hostess asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I mentioned that we were celebrating my son's birthday, as he's home for the holidays from the Army, and she said she would note that for our waiter. It took longer than usual for the waiter to attend to us, but that wasn't an issue as we were enjoying each other's company. Of all the meals ordered, two members thoroughly enjoyed their chicken and waffles, but the two orders of rigatoni were salty as were the fries. Additionally, we noticed what appeared to be smaller portions than usual, despite paying the same price. When we inquired about this with the waiter, he apologized and said he would check with the kitchen but did not follow up. As a result, we didn't have a chance to address the salty food. Furthermore, my son's birthday went unacknowledged, which was a bit disappointing, especially since they asked about special occasions. While I didn't expect anything extravagant, I did assume it would be a simple acknowledgement to make him feel celebrated. Overall, this experience was not up to the standard we would have expected from dining at Whiskey Cake.

   Food was mediocre. Rigatoni dish was tasteless. Noodles were drowning in sauce. Sauce had no flavor. Maybe that wasn’t the best item on their menu. I thought maybe I could venture off on to something I haven’t tried but that was a mistake. To drink I had their speakeasy margarita but that was also a mistake to order because it took 15-20 minutes to get one. I gave it another shot and ordered a second one but shame on me because it was still a 15-20 minute wait on it. Waiter blamed the bartender said this that and another. Honestly sometimes we don’t want to hear blame on others. Just make it right and do better for the customer experience. The only item we had that was delicious was the goat cheese fondue.

   You changed the menu. Less variety to pick from. I selected the Spinach and Chicken salad, which I’ve had before but you have also changed. Now you made the chicken and the dressing spicy. Too spicy. This caused me to have heartburn. Just not our usual dinning experience. The drinks and service were good as usual. Might have to rethink future opportunities at what was a go-to restaurant.

   Whiskey Cake San Antonio: I don't know how the food is because we've been here for two hours, with a reservation, and still do not have our food. I even put in for a special occasion. For reference we were a table of 7. Waiter can't tell us what us is going on and was slightly rude when I asked. This place was highly recommended but we will not be coming back. This is ridiculous and we have seen tables all around us getting food way after we were seated. Manager Jennifer just come out and gave us attitude that we didn't order as soon as we sat down....because no one asked us to order. She also tried the excuse that they were short staffed. Though as mentioned above numerous people who were seated after us got their food in a timely manner. Update 30 mins later: our food came out. My steak was cold and did not come with the advertised mushrooms and Parmesan. Just cold, dry steak or any sauce for the fries. They did offer to comp our meals so I do appreciate that. Our waiter Bill was good, but unsure if he put our ticket in late, or if it was the kitchen.. . Some food came out, some did not. Some food was hot and fresh, others were cold like it had been sitting there for an hour. My boyfriend's pork chop came out warm but went cold within 2 minutes (heat lamp). My friend ordered a salad that never came. My other friend got a salad with not all the listed ingredients. 5 of us got our food but the other 2 had to wait 5-10 mins to get theirs. Dessert was good. Said it would not take long but it did. As stated they comped meal, sort of. I was still charged for some food. We expected to pay for alcohol, but I ended up paying over $150 for 2 people and terrible food and service.
