** Wild Ginger - Downtown

The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.

Wild Ginger is a wonderful restaurant and it's proximity to Benaroya Hall is very convenient. We partook of the special pre fixe menu offered with the concert tickets we purchased. There were some snags this evening. The reservation app tried to push back my reservation by 15 minutes, I called and confirmed our original time. Our party of 4 were seated immediately, the host staff were very nice. However, after several minutes we had to flag down a staff person (turned out to be a manager) to take our drink orders. When we informed him that we were all doing the pre fixe menu he said he would get the order in right away. I think the first course came before the drinks. And because it was family style the table got one serving dish of each item. I have no problem with the family style, but for 4 people the servings should have been bigger. We did not have time to wait for another order. The food was tasty, as were the drinks. But the restaurant was overbooked (big company parties our manager/waiter told us) and understaffed. I hope the pre fixe option can be offered again, as I would like to go back, but hopefully they can do better in the future.

Our server Eddie was extraordinary!! Our wine and entrees were outstanding. My husband loves the 7 flavor beef and I love the Sea Bass with peanuts and herbs. GREAT Malbec too. VERY welcoming front desk. Just the best as always .. very consistent and attention to allergy challenges.

An iconic Seattle restaurant that plays host to great Asian cuisine and flavorful libations. Management of this establishment needs to improve the productivity and resourcefulness of their wait staff and to assist in those times that that cannot be achieved. Our particular waiter was not firing on all cylinders and really should have been pulled aside and given a pep talk of the expectations of the company. Forgetfulness, constant, is unacceptable, especially when it comes to orders, drinks, presentation, interaction with patrons and overall manners. There are thousands of wait staff personnel that bust their hump to make a wage and should be rewarded with a commensurate tip. I have no issue in giving praise, money, for being put together, considerate, passionate and an overall great host of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I did not reward their terrible dinner service. Management should be supportive and a resource to assist in this. None of this was present. When a waiter must bus their own tables, even with bus service standing there, there is a breakdown in the most basic of processes. Fortunately, the food was amazing, even when served semi-cold, due to the waiter being in a cosmic fog, making up ridiculous reasons for the delay and using very odd comments to themself, creating an extremely bizarre encounter. The drinks were very tasty. Two plus plus hours, start to finish, for dinner is a bit much, especially when you have theater plans, and yes, I planned for this when making my reservation. I'm not banning this restaurant nor am I asking you too as well. The place is great. I am asking the establishments managerial staff to step up, dust off the blinders, represent and mentor your people.

Wild ginger did an amazing job accommodating my party of 8 after a matinee at Benaroya Hall. I had to bump up my party from 7 to 8, and the hosts responded to my inquiry in the open table app with a call promptly. While it was an odd time for food, the staff and kitchen did a great job with our food and drinks. The food is high quality and the service is amazing. Thank you!
