Willowtree Inn is located on Ann Street in historic downtown Stroudsburg. The view from our back dining room overlooks The McMichaels Creek. Our two tier room offers a lovely serene view. The menu is eclectic. Chef George specializes in European American Cuisine. While we offer steaks, salads, and sandwiches, Georges Sauces are divine. My wife and I went to Willowtree Inn for "Date night" and had a fabulous meal and great time overall. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and atmosphere. We look forward to our next time here!

A few days ago, I took my sister here to thank her for a favor. We had meatballs au poivre, but the pepper sauce was a little overpowering. The beef stroganoff was disappointing - the beef strips were cut very thin and overcooked and it was served with penne, not the traditional egg noodles one would expect. My sister was equally unimpressed with her meal. The server was excellent and provided great service, it's just too bad the food was less than stellar. We ended up going to another place the next night to make up for it. The dining room is nice, if not a little dated. From past experiences, I know the patio area is a nice place to sit and watch the creek when the weather is good, but I doubt I will be going back.

The only thing that I would tell people is that the entrance area is not very welcoming. It’s very old and has the appearance and feel of an old house. But the back seating and views of the creek and outside seating areas are very nice. The food is amazing. We almost turned around and walked out and are so glad we didn’t. Great off the beaten track place to relax and have a great meal and a glass of wine.

What a delight to find this hidden treasure. We brought family members from New Jersey with us and they decided that this restaurant is worth the drive for future visits. They loved everything about the outdoor dining experience.

Weird experience. Was seated at 5:45 on the deck. The deck was full (though it's not that big anyway) and the inside of the restaurant was completely empty. We ended up leaving at 6:10 because NO ONE had come to see us after the hostess sat us. The hostess took our drink order (2 waters) and never came back. It's too bad because the menu looked promising!

We were there for Mother's Day. While it was busy, we had great service and great food. We eat out frequently and the quality of this food was really excellent. We would go back.
