Holiday buffet meal was good but not great. Choices felt limited for the cost. Prime rib was tender, and the lobster bisque were highlights, but cold seafood choices were small and although the artisan buns were delicious for some, without an alternative, non olive eaters didn't enjoy them. Our server was great.

On our last night in Pacific Beach, the four of us dined at World Famous. All four of us thoughly enjoyed our separate entrees. If you're going to be in this area we highly recommend having lunch or dinner at World Famous.

We are locals and enjoy supporting our local restaurants. Our recent lunch at World Famous was a bit disappointing on several levels. The restaurant felt chilly inside with all the doors open. I'm thinking it is somewhere we should reserve for warmer weather visits. There seemed to only be a single server for the entire place as service was definitely below par. We had to fetch our own rolls ups from another table. We ordered two salads and after an hour had not received our food. Our server was nowhere to be seen so I had to go to the hostess stand and ask her to check on our food, which she brought to us within minutes. So was it sitting in the kitchen with no one to serve it? We needed more dressing but our server never came back to see if we needed anything so had to flag down a busboy to get it for us. Our salads were good but not exceptional. It seemed very unlike what we have come to know and love about this restaurant. We will try it again in the spring and hope for a better experience.

Service and ambience good. Fish was well presented but tasteless. My guess is they pull their fish out of the freezer and microwave it prior to putting on a plate and serving. We had the blackened salmon salad and the potato wrapped sea bass. Bread good. Lettuce fresh. Nice ocean front restaurant, but not fine dining.

I made my reservation for Sunday night at Sunset. We got there early and the staff seated us immediately. The wait staff was present and punctual. The appetizers were amazing with the calamari and spicy shrimp. The clam chowder was good except for LARGE chunks of celery and onion but very tasty. The lobster bisque was rich but very good according to the 2 that ordered it. As for the main dish, let's just say everyone was stuffed and satisfied. The prime rib was PERFECT. For dessert, the mud pie was a very large portion and extremely tasty. I strongly recommend World Famous and will definitely return again.

The food is great and reasonable considering it’s right on the boardwalk. Roxanne, Hannah and Shannon provided welcoming and superb service. A group of us friends since elementary school have breakfast together monthly due to our great experience.

Always consistent good food, great location to watch the sunset, lots of patio space. Can get a little noisy when full, but where doesn’t that happen.

Excellent breakfast! Friendly service. Beautiful view of beach. Couldn’t have asked for better. Tip: make a reservation and ask to sit at windows on beach side. Fabulous!
