   Bewilderingly hit-and-miss. The appetizers (mushroom sweetbread, gnocchi) were breathtakingly phenomenal, perfectly designed and perfectly implemented, but then the entrees were weirdly disappointing. The scallops were well cooked but bland, and the unexciting risotto they come with did not feel like it justified the price tag. The jerk chicken was not particularly notable. The tiramisu looked great but that's unfortunately the nicest thing I have to say about it; it was decent with the inexplicable extra granulated sugar scraped off the top. On the drinks front... The modified old fashioned on the menu was exceptional up front but becomes over-spiced if you take too long to drink it, which I don't love for a relaxed dinner date. The selection of dessert drinks and coffees, however, was unusually good - love a place that'll cheerfully indulge my husband's desire for a post-dinner espresso! And the service was lovely throughout. Overall so close to perfect. At 3/4ths the price point I would have been uncomplicatedly thrilled, but at $100+/person after tip the standard is high, you know? This would almost certainly be a standout place to drop by for a drink and a snack at the bar, but the full sit down experience wasn't quite there.

   Wow, super impressed with the new and improved menu, superb and attentive servers! We live in the neighborhood and haven't eaten here for a year, due to past dissatisfaction with the menu, It's much much better than last year. As a 25 year customer -- Suggestions: Please bring back your calzone!!! You have a rare wood fired oven and no one serves calzone anywhere so this could be a "signature" dish. PLEASE consider not serving that sour vinaigrette with your wedge salad. Not good, especially with bacon. Please consider a traditional bleu cheese or some other creamy dressing. Other than that BRAVO!

   Pretty much all the dishes at our table were super salty and had to be sent back, but the server was great. Apparently they have a new cook

   We go to the Zinfandel Grill 2-3 times a year. We have always enjoyed our dinners there. The food is usually very good to excellent. This past visit was also pleasant with the exception that my after dinner hot decaf coffee was served cold. I am not a fan of cold coffee. However, when advised of the problem, our server was apologetic and immediately took steps to correct it. A replacement cup was promptly brought to the table and all was well. I would strongly recommend the Zinfandel Grill to anyone looking for a good meal in a pleasant environment served by friendly and professional staff.

   Teresa was our waitress and she was great! The food overall was really good. They brought me flowers since it was my birthday, which was a nice touch. We will definitely go back!

   Great food and our server Don did an excellent job keeping many tables happy. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Always a great meal - we had pork chop that was perfectly cooked, NY and a pasta dish. Great wine list! Wednesday is a great day to celebrating life!

   We were seated promptly and provided with water. Our server checked in fairly quickly for drink orders. We were informed of the specials and our orders were taken. The server explained the slight delay in getting our meals, which were excellent. The quality and presentation of the food was very good. Our server checked in with us frequently and was responsive to our needs. Overall, an excellent meal and experience.
